Provisions and work . . .

Many of you know that I am working on raising the necessary resources to study abroad in Germany in the Spring of 2016, and I would like to share one of the ways that God has been providing for me.

This past spring, I taught self defense for a small class in Linden, Tennessee.  Out of that, I was contacted by the University of Tennessee, and asked to teach self defense classes this summer.  I have accepted the teaching position. Not only has God provided an opportunity to reach out and connect with those around me, He has also given me a job that I love! I am so grateful, and quite excited to see how He is providing, and how He will provide for me.

     We serve an awesome God.

My metier

Last year, I enrolled in my second theology class as required by my major. I expected drudgery, not excitement.  Prior to the class, I natively believed that theology and the study of it was irrelevant to my life, and even to life itself.

However, to my delight, I discovered that, not only is theology relevant to life, but it is relevant to my life! From learning to articulate what I believe and why I believe it, to entering into discussion through the written word with the great theologians who have gone before me, I am enraptured. I have found my niche, glory to God!

My minor is now Historical Theology, with my major being TESOL, also known as ESL.
